Nov 02, · Manual choke set up w 4 bbq holley on 65 v8 mustang. I ran an Edelbrock manual choke () for a number of years, I mounted the choke pull in the factory location beneath the dash. When running the Eddy 4 bbl, it was dead on the manual choke hook up on the passenger’s side of the carb. It just so happened, it lined up with the WEBER’s.
All W-Machines should go right to the “AX” rod. The “DS” rod should only be used for racing. More adjustment of the secondary circuit can be made with the rod hanger. These hangers are coded A, B, C, etc. Therefore, an “A” hanger will pull the rods out sooner and higher than a “Z”. These are no longer available except for the “V” hanger, so off you go to the junk yard.

Thanks HuntingKy When I was running mine, I simply had the pull knob mounted to the bottom part of my dash with the cable run through hole in the firewall maybe around my steering column and up to the carb. If possible can you post pics. Sounds like a girl I used to date More seriously though, yeah, just pass the cable through a hole in the firewall, mount the hang-down choke bracket and knob on the screw under your dash over by your right knee, and ta-da.

After running the hot wire to the accessory fuse at the fuse block I lost my backup lights and shift indicator lights. I disconnect the wire I get the lights back. Nov 04, · I asked the Edelbrock rep whether there were differences between the manual and electric choke versions of their carbs. He confirmed what I suspected. The manual choke carbs are set up for more power, while the electric choke models are set up for more fuel economy.
